Here is a photo I took at a church, a long time ago. At the bottom of the plaque dedicated to fallen soldiers, it reads, "GREATER LOVE HATH NO MAN THAN THIS." This phrase is taken from a Bible verse which says, "Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends." John 15:13.
If some people have died for our freedom, how much more should we live to make their sacrifices worthwhile?
[A war memorial in another location included a poem to this effect.--It said something like, Don't be sad!--Live!]

NOTE, March 5, 2011 -- Would like to include this photo under my "Canadian Police" Label, especially because of the two RCMP officers who were killed in the earthquake in Haiti last year.
