It's not exactly a sand beach! But this photo reminds me of a line in a hymn, "...of rocks and trees, of skies and seas...." When I lived in northern Ontario, I used to think of the same hymn. It was common to see what we called "rock cuts" along the highway. That's where they blasted through small, rocky hills to make the roads smoother. There were also a lot of lakes and rivers there--and the nature was peaceful, with a lot of trees!
