Apology and Settlement Offered to RCMP Ladies

Yesterday, the head RCMP commissioner made a public apology in the news to female RCMP officers and perhaps some staff who were in the process of suing the RCMP over sexual harassment, discrimination, and bullying....  The claims reportedly covered the past 40 years, or so.  Some of the women have suffered a great deal and were on sick leave because of mental stress....  The commissioner also offered a financial settlement and the details are being worked on.


The women are evidently happy with this action taken by the commissioner, and I'm happy for the women.  I'm also happy that the RCMP weren't too proud to acknowledge their shortcomings--at last--although it was a smaller group of officers who were involved in the problems....  The RCMP
have had a respectable image which they presented to the public, and a proud heritage from many years past....  [They also say they're under a lot of pressure to deal with terrorism.]  But they're human, like everyone else, and humans make mistakes....  And I think the commissioner was brave and gracious to take these steps that he has....  And the RCMP have been and are working on improving the conditions for their female officers and staff.... 

Can We Make It In Time for Halloween, This Year???

As I mentioned in my first blog today, I've completed my writing about the criminal matters--unless there's something that needs to be discussed with other parties about it...?  At this point, the parties have time to think throughout the month of September....  And then they'll have time to prepare for publicity by this Halloween, if they wish to...??? 


Last year, I was trying to complete my writing in the summertime; and I finished writing to my contact in California, as some police also wanted me to finish....  But there were some further details about the criminal matters [along with the former Landlord/Tenant matter] which needed to be resolved; and I've been working on them over the past year....  And now I believe I'm finished....  It'll just be up to the police and their firefighter friends to decide what's going to happen...? 


[Have discussed the fact earlier that the secret police project was going to be exposed at a Halloween--of some year...?] 

Young Police Officers...

At times, people have been made aware that young police officers are working with me on the police project....  An older lady--me--and some young officers....  And people wonder what we're up to and if anything good will ever come of it...? 

In the first place, there have been young officers who were invited into the police project many years ago--10, 20, 30, 40 years ago, etc.--and they're not so young any more...but some are still involved....  Second, there are chiefs of police and fire chiefs who are involved, with some supervising authority; and the chiefs have to have a certain amount of experience before they're hired for their own jobs....  The very young aren't usually, if ever, hired as chiefs!  So, I feel confident that it's not only the young who are working with me....  Third, it's possible the young officers can make mistakes...but we get through the best we can.  And the young have a lot of energy and enthusiasm that the rest of us don't always have....  [Some young people have done some excellent work in the police project in the past, that I'm aware of...!] 

As long as we don't wait too long to come to a conclusion, I'm confident that we have a great potential for success in this business, God willing....  People observing could gain a lot of benefit from finding out what's been going on....  Some people would have a personal interest in the issues and others would be interested for charitable purposes. 

A person who I'm acquainted with told me about a recent movie called Woman in Gold and said I should see it....  And this person was trying to hide her sarcasm--not quite successfully....  Have looked up the film on the Internet and it's based on a true story about an older Jewish lady who worked with a young lawyer to get possession of a valuable painting which had been stolen from her family by the Nazis.  The painting had been held by the Austrian government in a museum....  The museum had offered to compensate the woman--for some price?--if she'd give them the painting but she said no.  Then, after a long battle, someone else wanted to have the painting for a New York gallery....  The woman accepted this offer and the Wikipedia write-up doesn't say too much else about it, regarding the film.  But some real history about the case on the Internet said that the woman received $135 million for the painting!!!  So, I guess she didn't come out too badly, after all!!! 

Some people have looked down on me for bringing up a lot of movies in the police project....  [Have written about them in my blog, a certain amount.]  And I've said that I should be compensated financially....  Maybe my acquaintance wanted to compare me to the above woman in the film...?  And she thinks I'm fighting a losing battle...???  I haven't really made too big of a deal about money.  Instead, I've been working on other issues, things that needed to be done....  And I certainly don't expect to receive as much as the lady in the film...but there'll likely be other parties who will get paid from the police project when it gets resolved.... 

When I see my acquaintance again, I'll ask her exactly what she was referring to about the film???  Why did she want me to see it???  And I don't know if she's really supporting my interests, unless I'm mistaken...?  She seemed to be sarcastic, as I've said....  But there are certain police who have an inside joke that they say the opposite of what they mean, among themselves.  And if the Woman in Gold movie was made to seem unsuccessful at the end, I'm sure it was meant to be an opposite story when people found out the actual circumstances in real life!?  I mean, if they study the true story of the woman, they'll know she certainly had reason to be happy and proud of her accomplishment!  And myself, it's not just that I'm looking for money but of course some pay would be reasonable, for my efforts over the years....  And I haven't made a big deal of asking my associates for money but they've brought it up, themselves, at times....  [But as they say in business, nothing is concrete until there's an offer in writing....] 

So, I hope the police and firefighters won't continue to sit on this case for too long...!?  I don't want it to get buried and forgotten...!  But we've been making progress with our issues and I have reason to expect something will happen, sooner or later.  One thing about the young officers is they have nothing invested in this business and they have their whole lives ahead of them....  They don't need to hurry!  But I know, as I've stated above, that there are others involved; and I'm sure the young would also like to see success....  [And new, young officers will always continue to be added until we're done....  But young officers?  No problem!] 

Gay Marriage in the USA--part 2

The most important thing for gay rights supporters, I believe, is that the Supreme Court did vote in favour of gay marriage.  It's a done deal.  If there's going to be some opposition and negative feelings, it's nothing that we haven't seen here in Canada....  And the laws are on the side of the gay supporters.

Have been writing in my first blog--Waterlily Story--about a movie which I believe the police are going to make soon....  This movie--as has been discussed but not yet confirmed behind the scenes--has a potential to do a lot of good in reducing prejudice and bad feelings against gays and gay marriage.  I believe that.  Of course, the proof is in the pudding!  Right?  But for the sake of argument, if the police don't do a good job with the movie there's always a chance of someone else doing another movie....  We're not limited by one, single film!  [And I'm sorry to express doubts at this time....  It's not that I want to be negative.]  Nobody has specifically asked for my help with the film and they haven't given me any details, so I don't know for sure what's going on except that a certain police group is in charge of it....  And I think I'm satisfied to wait for these police to take the lead....  Have said so elsewhere....

If some of my firefighter friends from the police project are still hoping for me to continue my writing to California, I'm sorry that I'll have to disappoint them.  That's my decision.  I don't believe there's much value in me continuing my confidential writing....  I believe the movie would be a lot more helpful....  [I can't compare to that, I don't believe!!!]

Have also expressed in more than one place that the police--among themselves--and the firefighters have been competing a lot, in the police project....  And I've told my California contacts, which I believe includes firefighters, that it's going to be time for the parties to cooperate with each other and to share their information among themselves....  The competition served a place for a while but it seems that time is over, if they ever want to get something more accomplished from here....  And I believe justice and fairness will prevail, one way or another!  It may take a little while but that's okay....

NOTE ADDED ON JULY 30:  When I say the police are going to make a movie, I really mean they're going to hire a commercial filmmaker.... They're not going to make the movie, themselves, of course.

Support Welcome

If there are Christians, or even other people, who are reading my blog and who are interested in the issues, I'd like to ask them to pray for me and for this business.  There's a lot involved and I could use support, myself; and I'd like to see something resolved successfully for the people whom we're trying to help....  A lot has actually been done already, which I can't explain here, but it would be nice also to tell the story of what's been going on--and it would help to further break down the prejudice among the public in various parts of the world....  Of course, there might be new prejudice as there usually is when someone's trying to do something worthwhile but I believe it would help to tell the story.  And many people have already given their support in the past and they were expecting to see results--something they could see--as in a public story.  One thing some of the parties had in mind was to make a movie through Hollywood.

Would God, or Christians, like to support Hollywood?  The thing is, some Hollywood people have already supported this business and I believe profits have been earned.  The money isn't really an issue, as far as that goes.  [Although it's not me who's dealing with any funds.]  And if there's an opportunity, a movie would reach the most people and it would more or less be based on true facts--a true story.

The police groups have been quite spread out and there has also been competition among them.  We need for the police to come together.  And in the meantime, I've been under quite a lot of stress.  But I'm working diligently at this point to see something happen. 

The Work of Secret Police

Does the average person know or understand what secret police/secret agents do??? Of course the public isn't meant to know everything that goes on or the work would be hindered! But can we imagine? We can only speculate from what has been revealed of past work and agents.

In Great Britain, like in the USA, there are numerous organizations which work together to provide intelligence to the government. Have found it interesting to be reminded of MI5 and MI6. The first refers to "Military Intelligence, Section 5;" and the second to "Secret Intelligence Service" [England]. They're separate agencies but work together directly or indirectly, as far as I understand. In the police project, the numbers 5 and 6 are emphasized at times--maybe it's a nod to these two agencies? Have wondered about it before!?

The government in England didn't even acknowledge until the 1990s that some of their intelligence work--was it MI6--existed? [MI6 provides foreign intelligence.] Was it in the 1980s when our CSIS--Canadian Security Intelligence Service was created?

Secret Connections--IV

Camp X was run by the military and not by police, as far as I understand, but there were American police who came for training--and I'm guessing some Canadian police were involved somewhere along the way!? We didn't have our CSIS--Canadian Security Intelligence Service--yet but there was the RCMP Secret Service, if I'm not mistaken. Have added the Canadian Police label to the entries on Camp X.

[NOTE, added June 21: Have been reading further on the Internet and there seems to be reliable information that some RCMP officers did take training at Camp X. The Americans included agents from the FBI and from the OSS--Office of Strategic Studies--which was the forerunner of the CIA--Central Intelligence Agency.]

Secret Connections--III

My blog seems to have a malfunction in an entry below.--It's similar to something that happened in the original blog recently. I deleted that problem but this time I'm not willing to do that. [Have also written in the original blog about the nicknamed "Mr. Big" undercover program by police!]

By the way, the entry immediately below shows a current-day monument which sits on the site of the previous Camp X. There are flags for Canada, the USA, and Britain--plus a fourth flag which I don't recognize.

Secret Connections in Local Area!

Here are some photos of a mural in downtown Oshawa. The mural is a panorama of scenes about the former "Camp X" which used to be in the area. Camp X was a spy training school which began around the time of World War II.

Have read a book about Camp X and attended a lecture by the author at the library earlier. But from reading on the Internet now, there's still more I didn't know! [Won't explain too much for fear of making a mistake but people can look it up for themselves.]

Camp X was apparently a link between Britain, Canada, and the USA--is that correct? [Sometimes the Internet notes aren't even accurate!?] They continued operations for a few decades following World War II before they closed down completely. The public and even most of the government officials didn't know what was going on! The property began with a farm; and some radio antennas were said to belong to our Canadian Broadcasting Corporation for their signals!--Meanwhile, the use of radio was important to the work at Camp X, if I recall reading in the book?

It has also been debated that some trainees at Camp X went on to write fiction books--like the author of the "James Bond" movies? But the spy work itself was very serious, for sure!

Another Street Sign

When I was growing up, our mailing address was a rural route of the farming town of Bowmanville. [We actually lived closer to a city but were on the outskirts.] It was only last summer that I noticed they had a street named Simpson. According to a downtown mural in Bowmanville, a man named John Simpson was the first--or one of the first--bankers there. [Have a photo of the mural but haven't been able to locate the artist's name, so far. Will have to work on it.]

So, what about "The Simpsons" show??? [It seems banks and bankers have been connected to the United States Secret Service and the police project.--Have written more in the original Waterlily Story blog.] The program content may not be relevant but the name may be!? [Have also written about The Simpsons--quite a bit--in the original blog.]

It would be my guess that the U.S.S.S. were the ones who asked the RCMP to get involved--unless maybe it was police in Great Britain who involved the Canadians? The Americans and Canadians have worked together a lot anyway, it seems.

[NOTE: The "STOP" sign isn't necessarily relevant--although in some ways it could be!--As long as we deal with the real issues and stop the nonsense!--And what counts as nonsense may be open to interpretation....]

"Let's Remember Adam"

Here's another photo I'll take my chances on [with publication rights]!* I took a few other shots of the same sign and they were better but they had different sponsors--I'll stick with this one!
It seems a little boy had been killed while crossing the road for a school bus. [I didn't know him but would like to offer my sympathy to the family and friends.] There were several signs on both sides of the road in this northern Ontario location. The "Adam" name also applies to another situation--to the police project, in my opinion! And there's still work which can be done, as I've been saying, for the benefit of homosexual people. [See the original Waterlily Story blog.]

Some conservative Canadians had a slogan a while ago--"God created Adam and Eve, not Adam and Steve." Myself, I changed it to, "God created Adam and Eve, and Steve." (But people can decide for themselves about how they wish to see things.--And I believe most people are reasonable when they understand all the facts.)

Not Without Conflicts/Opposition

Along with the mention of woods/forests, will emphasize that there has been a lot of confusion around the "police project." Within the past 10-12 years, especially, there have been many kinds of stories told--some true, some false, and others a combination of true and false. And myself, I've been explaining a lot within this time also. Some of the major parties have agreed with the views I've put forward about gay rights and gay marriage but they weren't quite ready to reveal what they were doing, so far. Will write some more separately in the original blog. [Just wanted to make a note of the conflicts here. Don't want to ignore them or whitewash them.]

Isn't it true that anything worthwhile usually generates conflict? Conflict and opposition! And there need to be explanations made, in some cases.

Colour Codes

The international division of the Royal Canadian Mounted Police have used colour codes for a number of years in their work.--Maybe the codes also correspond with codes from other countries? [Am not sure and would have to do some more research on it!]

"Colour codes" have also been used in the police project.--Have been mentioning a little about colours in both of my Waterlily Story blogs.

New Links

Have added some new Links yesterday. It seems my information wasn't even 100% correct but I'm going to leave it posted as it is! Have been writing in the original blog about the Bordertown TV series and related issues. Had thought Vancouver, Washington was directly below Vancouver, Canada but maybe they're close only by their names? Anyway, I believe there have been some issues with Vancouver, Canada which have affected us here in the east, and elsewhere. [There's also a new TV series, Flashpoint. An Internet definition of a border town is that it can be a "flashpoint" for international conflict. In the case of Vancouver, there may be issues between the city police and the RCMP.--Will work on sorting them out!]

Some Have Sacrificed It All!

Here is a photo I took at a church, a long time ago. At the bottom of the plaque dedicated to fallen soldiers, it reads, "GREATER LOVE HATH NO MAN THAN THIS." This phrase is taken from a Bible verse which says, "Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends." John 15:13.

If some people have died for our freedom, how much more should we live to make their sacrifices worthwhile?
[A war memorial in another location included a poem to this effect.--It said something like, Don't be sad!--Live!]

The Second Officer--II

The second officer who I mentioned as being killed in Haiti had been the man temporarily in charge of the Canadian police there, as far as I understand. He was the acting "Chief Superintendent."--And after his death, the RCMP decided to give him the title permanently. This man had been employed by the International Peace Operations department at the RCMP headquarters in Ottawa, Ontario. Previously, he seemed to have a very interesting career in other parts of Canada, from what I read on the Internet. He was in the building which housed the RCMP offices in Haiti when it collapsed during the earthquake. [The other officer was at his temporary housing in Haiti and had just returned from visiting his family in Canada, as far as I understand.]

The Peace Operations deal with human rights matters, at times. It's one of their issues, if a matter requires their attention. Don't know about everything they do but have read a little in their section of the RCMP website. [There's a Link in the sidebar of the original Waterlily Story blog, if people would like to see it.] And it's all very serious work, I'm sure! [They wouldn't have time for very much frivolity!--I don't think so.]

Haiti Earthquake Anniversary, january 12

There's a lot of help and work still needed in Haiti, of course. [What can you say? It was a terrible tragedy. And there were problems there to begin with.]

Would like to make a few short comments here. Think it would be nice for someone to show something about the lives of the RCMP officers who were killed in Haiti. Have read their biographies on the RCMP website earlier. [The information helped me but maybe other people would like to know more!?]

"Heroes in Life"

When I dropped into a police station in the north last year, I noticed a plaque in their lobby which said "Heroes in Life." Wanted to bring out this thought now. It's fine to remember and honour those who have passed away.--And we need to do that. But we don't want to think only of the deceased as heroes, right? Some people have a difficult job to do--whether in policing or elsewhere in life.

The Second Officer

The second RCMP officer killed in the Haiti earthquake, besides the officer I've already mentioned, was from the RCMP Headquarters in Canada's capital city of Ottawa. It seems he WAS a more highly educated officer--and I had reason to believe he knew about me and about the "police project." I didn't know much about him earlier, although I'd heard his name in passing. For the record, I also sent a message of condolences for his death; and the police in his department would be aware of it.

My computer time is almost up for today. What I actually heard about the above officer--or someone--was that there was an officer with a Master's university degree. It seems he had one. [When I heard his name, it wasn't in connection with the same story, at the time.]
