Here's a picture of some "rock cuts"on a roadside. In southern Ontario
we refer to this area as the north
but it's actually "cottage country,"
I'd say. When you travel a little
further north, it's the "near north."
And when you travel still further,
it's the "far north" and northwestern
Ontario. [Maybe the area in the
photo is the northern part of
southern Ontario!?--That's how I
see it sometimes!]

were all taken in late winter last
