More Local Graffiti

Here is some more graffiti from my home town....  [I posted some near the beginning of Waterlily Story II.]  This photo was taken in the downtown area....

Have written recently in the first blog, Waterlily Story, that the DFC initials represent a combination of some police known as DDs and some Fire Chiefs....  They're working together in the police project.

Have seen the word "Malne" used in graffiti in several locations and didn't know what it meant--until now.  I believe it refers to "mal ne"--in French.  [The "ne" has an accent mark over the e.]  "Mal" means bad or sick or evil; and "ne" means birth*....  So, the gay people believed they were born gay and some other people said homosexuality was evil....

Anyway, we've been working on the issues...and I don't want to get into a deep discussion here.

If it's showing well, there's also a number "15" in the above photo.  I believe it refers to a special part of the police investigation which began when I was 15 years old....

There's another symbol, with a circle and an X, etc., and I believe it has significance but I don't wish to get into it here....

By the way, this graffiti has been there for a while--maybe a year or two--and I've just now understood what it meant.--I believe I understand.

NOTE:  Of course, a lot of people know that if you click on the photo, you'll see an enlarged image.  Everything shows clearly in the bigger picture.

*CORRECTION, added on October 5:  "Ne," with the accent mark actually means "born."  Just for the record.  And this "ne" is pronounced as "nay."
